How to Join ATADA Now
There are four classes of membership in ATADA:

ATADA Group Insurance
ATADA is pleased to announce that it has a comprehensive group insurance plan available to dealers and/or collectors who are full members or associates of the organization. These plans offer many benefits at very competitive rates. In particular, coverage is better and rates are lower than a typical homeowner's policy. Types of coverage available are noted in the table below. Full Members: This class of membership is intended for dealers and other professionals with a business interest in tribal arts.
Full Members are entitled to vote in ATADA elections, receive the ATADA newsletter, have a complete listing in the members directory, and may post the electronic version of the ATADA logo on their web sites or ebay listings. Members are entitled to purchase ATADA Group Insurance for both private and commercial collections. For example, the commercial policy covers inventory while being shipped, in transit, and at shows as well as at a place of business. The rate for the private collection insurance is very attractive - dropping to as low as $0.15 per $100 of insured value depending on type of item (2006 rate) for large collections. If a Member has an E-mail address and/or a www site, an electronic link to these will be posted in the electronic members directory, http://www.atada.org/members.html. ATADA requires an e-mail address and a phone number for communications with members. If a member does not wish to publish the email address and/or phone number, it will be unlisted and used only for official ATADA communications. All members are requested to send a large .jpg image of the member's choosing for publication in the ATADA Directory. An image submission tutorial is available at http://www.atada.org/ImageTutorial.html.
Conditions of full membership and the procedure for application are spelled out in the ATADA Bylaws. The initial application fee is $500 with an annual fee of $400 per member starting in 2008. Additional galleries owned by the same member may be listed at $200 per additional gallery per annum in 2008.

Associates: An Associate is defined as an individual who has a non-business interest in antique tribal arts such as collectors, retired dealers, etc. If you are an active dealer or an active art professional, you must apply for, or upgrade to, Full Membership.
Associates have no vote in ATADA elections. Associates receive the ATADA newsletter and are entitled to a limited listing in the members directory. Associates may NOT use the ATADA logo in any advertising and may NOT post the electronic version of the ATADA logo on their web sites or eBay listings.
If an Associate has an e-mail address, an electronic link to it will be posted in the electronic members directory. At the Associate's discretion, the e-mail address and/or phone number may be unlisted. However, both must be provided for use in official ATADA communications.

Museum Members: This class of membership is intended for tribal arts museums and museum professionals with an interest in antique tribal arts.
Museum Members have no vote in ATADA elections. Museum members receive the ATADA newsletter and directory and are entitled to a limited listing in the ATADA members directory.
A Museum Member is defined as museum or a museum professional who has an interest in antique tribal arts. There is no application fee and the annual dues are $25 for 2008 and later years.
