Video Recordings of the August, 2011, ATADA Seminars
Video DVDs were recorded at the four ATADA seminars in Santa Fe in August, 2011. These DVDs are available to ATADA members and the general public. They are available as a set only, with a $100 donation to The ATADA Foundation suggested in lieu of payment. They can be ordered using the web form below. The four seminars were as follows:

U.S. Fish and Game agent Dan Brooks will speak to our members about what he and other Federal agents are looking for at Tribal and American Indian art shows. Brooks will be attending both Whitehawk shows, and requested specifically that he speak to exhibitors before the shows open, as the information in his talk may inform show exhibitors what not to exhibit and sell.

A round table discussion led by attorney/ATADA Associate Jim Owens on archaeological resources laws and their use by the Federal government in the 2009 raids; the ensuing court cases; and the aftermath: the results of the cases.

A joint presentation by the Antique Tribal Art Dealers Foundation, the New Mexico Lawyers for the Arts, and the Cultural Policy Research Institute. Lecture & Panel Discusion: Ms. Bonnie Magness-Gardner, FBI Art Crime Program Coordinator, who will discuss Antiquities Crime and the National Stolen Art File, followed by talks by David Hall, F.B.I. Art Theft Trial Attorney on enforcement and Special Agent David Kice on work in the field. Following this -- a panel discussion. Panelists include the three FBI representatives, Kate Fitz Gibbon, ATADA Legal Committee Chairman, W. Roger Fry, ATADA Legal Committee Member, and Wilbur Norman, ATADA BOD Member. Arch Thiessen, ATADA President, was moderator.

Ads are accepted from members and non-members at ATADA’s discretion. ATADA makes no warranties or guarantees with regard to items advertised unless the advertiser is a member of ATADA, in which case the member guarantees the title and authenticity of his/her material. Ads are accepted for full-pages (11” high x 8-1/2” wide) and half-pages (5-1/2” high x 8-1/2” wide) only. All ads must be 300 dpi, full color (CMYK), copy ready, with an additional 1/4” border all the way around for bleed, and must be submitted in .pdf or .tiff format. Submit to Webmaster@ATADA.org prior to January 15, 2012 for insertions in the Winter, 2012 issue; thereafter, deadlines are April 1, July 1, October 1, and January 1. Publication dates are February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1 of each year.
Rates in 2012 are $400 per insertion for full pages inside front and back covers, full pages elsewhere in the interior are $250 per insertion, and half pages (interior only) are $150 per insertion. Specific locations may be reserved in advance (on a space available basis only) but must be paid in advance on a full year basis at a 10% discount from the above rates.
